I can't remember the last time I laid in the grass and just enjoyed life...I imagine it was sometime before 1996, when I developed an overnight allergy to everything related to nature. Thank goodness for allergy medications!

The Ideal Dog

Frank will be staying with us for the next week...he is Evan's class mascot, and takes a turn visiting all the kids for a week. So far, my only issue with Frank is that he does NOT clean up the food that Emmett throws off of his high chair tray onto the floor. Oh well.

Baby Hands

I love baby hands...most pictures I see of babies seem to go for the feet/toes, but something about those chubby little hands clasped together gets me every time! The only things that gets me even more are Emmett's eyelashes--I'll work on that for a future picture.

Interesting side note: when I took this picture straight on, or from the left, I ended up with a purplish spot halfway between the numbers and the bottom of the picture. But not when I took the picture from the right. Why?

I Got Your Back!

We have a recurring problem with carpenter bees invading our deck in the spring, and beating them to death with a broom is my husband's punishment of choice. Evan decided to take matters into his own hands tonight, and Eric was ready to step in with his (toy) sword if needed!!

Fun in Traffic

I spent a considerable amount of time sitting in traffic this afternoon, thanks to an early morning water main break that closed a major road near our house. Amazingly enough, I remembered I had a camera in my purse and snapped a few pictures!
